Skilled visas in Australia are a main part of Australia’s migration program due to the need the government has to cover the skill shortages in the country, which means, there is no enough Australian workers to cover specific occupations especially in regional areas. For this reason, the government has stablished the follow skilled stream for immigrants interested in work, gain experienced and if comply with all the requirements, apply for the Australian permanent residency (PR).

Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (subclass 494)
This type of visa is for skilled workers nominated by employers who have a labour agreement with the Australian government. Know more here.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
A point-based visa for skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in a designated regional area of Australia for 5 years. Know more here.
Skilled Regional visa (subclass 887)
This visa is for holders of a subclass 489, 495,496, 475, 487 or Bridging visa A or B, who has lived and worked in a specified regional area of Australia for at least two years. Know more here.

VETASSESS is the largest skills assessment provider in Australia, authorised by the Australian Government. This entity assesses your qualifications and employment against the suitability of your nominated occupation to have a successful skills assessment for migration purposes.
EOI is an Expression of Interest that you submit online through SkillSelect to show your interest in applying for an Australian skilled visa. You need to provide a range of information depending on the visa you want to be considered. After you submit your application, you will receive a notification, SkillSelect will store your EOI, and it will be valid for two years. Have into account that an Expression of Interest (EOI) is not a visa application and doesn’t give you a bridging visa.
Yes, both OET and IELTS are used to test the English language of healthcare professionals and you can choose the one you prefer. The Department require a score of at least B for each of the four components. According to the healthcare professions, OET offers twelve different versions of the tests.
