Family Members Services
Australia’s family migration program gives eligible relatives of Australian citizens and permanent residents a pathway to reunite and build their lives together in Australia. At Amity Lawyers, our immigration lawyers assist families from all over the world — helping you choose the right visa, understand the waiting times involved and put forward the strongest possible application.
PARENT VISAS
Parent Visas
Australia offers several parent visa pathways depending on your family’s circumstances, how long you are prepared to wait and what level of contribution you are willing to make. The standard Parent Visa (Subclass 103 and 804) carries a significantly longer queue but lower costs, while the Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 143) offers a faster route at a higher government fee. Our immigration lawyers explain the differences clearly and help you select the pathway that suits your timeline and situation.

CHILD VISAS
Child Visas
Permanent visas for the dependent children and adopted children of Australian citizens or permanent residents. The Child Visa (Subclass 101 for offshore and 802 for onshore applicants) grants permanent residence to eligible dependent children. Adoption pathways are also available for children being brought to Australia through a recognised intercountry adoption process.

OTHER FAMILY
Other Family Visas
Beyond the main family streams, a number of lesser-known pathways exist for eligible relatives in specific circumstances. The Carer Visa (Subclass 116 and 836) is available for relatives who are needed to provide long-term care to an Australian resident with a genuine medical need. The Aged Dependent Relative Visa (Subclass 114) and the Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115) provide options for elderly or isolated relatives with no one else to turn to.
